Field Service Engineer

NDI is the US sole source provider of parts, repairs, and field service for the TRS-3D and TRS-4D radar systems.
JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Field Service Engineer, one will perform on-site field service support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on the SPS-75 and SPS-80 radar systems. Field Service Engineers provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of Company technical radar systems. Our team provides expertise in the resolution of technical problems and troubleshooting of naval and coast guard radar systems. Application of diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and implement repairs is essential. Up to 60% CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.
REMOTE POSTION – TRAVEL REQUIRED
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides on-site troubleshooting of SPS-75 and SPS-80 radar systems, including testing and diagnostics.
· Study and review of technical manuals and publications for the purpose of on-site application.
· Replaces defective components and installs components, kits, and consumable parts.
· Provides training and technical expertise to customers, including consultative assistance during off hours as needed.
· Implements software upgrades as updates are made by the OEM.
· Prepares and publishes engineering reports at the end of each on-site visits, detailing diagnostic readings, summary actions, and recommendations.
KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS
· Proficiency and understanding of the function of each SPS-75 and SPS-80 major component and most common troubleshooting steps.
· >95% successful diagnosis of radar faults and recommendation of appropriate corrective action.
· Timely response (within 24 hours) to customer requests for consultative assistance.
· No engineer-related negligence/damage to customer equipment.
· No safety incidents resulting in personal injury.
· 100% accountability of repair parts and tools/equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years of experience in ISR repair on maintenance with a strong preference for experience with Navy/CG radar systems.
· Experience with the SPS-75 or SPS-80 preferred.
· Ability to use testing and diagnostic tools, including multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Peak Power Meters and other equipment; acumen to analyze results and draw conclusions.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to administer troubleshooting steps as outlined in technical manuals.
· Understanding of radar software and its interface with hardware and RDCs.
· Ability to effectively communicate and understand complex engineering concepts.
· Microsoft Office Suite experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Secret Security Clearance.
Valid Passport.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have a clean driving record and ability to travel within the US.
Must be willing to work in both a maritime and shipyard environment.
Must be willing to attend tower climbing certification program
Mechanical Engineer II
Essential Responsibilities:
· Create 3D models, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials for assemblies and components
· Work with a multi-disciplinary Engineering Team to collaborate on projects
· Perform mechanical design/analysis, prototyping, and troubleshooting
· Select and source materials and components in support of product design efforts
· Design build fixtures and test fixtures
· Estimate engineering labor, production labor, tooling, and material costs in support of new project pursuits
· Generate production documentation and train production personnel
Minimum Requirements :
· Thorough knowledge of drawings, 3D models, GD&T, MMC
· Proficient in CAD / 3D modeling software (i.e. SolidWorks, PTC Creo, CATIA, etc) and MS Office
· General knowledge of materials and alloys in various applications
· General knowledge of hand tools and inspection tools
· General knowledge of configuration management & revision control
· General knowledge of production processes, quality control, variable costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products

We are seeking a Client Sales Director to lead the growth of our core Engineered Solutions (ES) business. Integral to this business is AMS Group’s relationship with our long-standing client, Honeywell.
As the Client Sales Director within Engineered Solutions, you will be a key member of the business leadership team, accountable for all customer facing strategies and processes to drive year over year profitable growth. You will utilize your exceptional communication skills to inspire strong engagement from the broader sales teams and network.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Customer Relationship Management:
- Strategic & tactical ownership of the Honeywell partnership; responsible for creation and execution of an annual channel partner growth plan including, but not limited to, customer engagement plans & portfolio expansion.
- Drive new business opportunities through expanded awareness and engagement across Honeywell sites, departments and stakeholders.
- Oversight and action against day-to-day business needs to ensure successful outcomes on in-flight projects across internal, customer, client and supplier stakeholders.
- Increase AMS Group awareness and presence in Honeywell through regular visits and interactions on-site in Phoenix and other Honeywell locations as well as core military user sites such as Tinker Air Force Base.
- Maintain excellent key Customer relationships with our government agencies such as Defense Logistics Agency; military end users and our industry prime contractors (Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman etc..).
- Nurture, manage and grow our client relationships as a key component of our overall growth strategy.
- Represent the voice of our clients/customers in all internal meetings and communications.
Sales Pipelines & Process:
- Maintain a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline for both the near and long term. Balance the focus on achieving new revenue stream development with near term sales closures, to meet operating plan commitments.
- Regularly utilize the CRM tool to ensure accurate and up to date pipeline opportunities and revenue projections.
- Own and continually improve the business development and sales processes to be efficient and effective in supporting the organization that values speed and agility as a competitive advantage.
- Partner with the VP & GM Engineered Solutions to develop and execute both the long-term strategic growth plans, as well as the annual operating plan.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Build positive and collaborative relationships with all internal stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment across various team functions (Inside sales, Corporate Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, Program Management, etc.) in support of your business goals.

Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Five or more years in Aerospace & Defense sales roles,
- Proven track record of managing significant, complex client relationships & sales cycles
- Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively
- Team player who can demonstrate the ability to build relationships across business locations
- Military or Honeywell experience a bonus
- Willingness to undertake up to 50% travel in the execution of this role
Electrical Engineer II
The Electrical Engineer II is a key part of the Engineering Team and is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of key company projects. This is a great opportunity for an engineer that enjoys being hands-on with products, as well as interfacing with the Procurement, Quality, and Production departments to provide technical expertise and advice.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create electrical & mechanical drawings, schematic diagrams, and bills of materials for assemblies and components
· Solve part obsolescence issues through researching suitable alternatives
· Estimate engineering labor, production labor, tooling, and material costs in support of new project pursuits
· Support the procurement team with technical insight to ensure compliance with project technical requirements
· Generate production documentation and train production personnel
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and debug production problems
· Design test fixtures
· Select materials and components in support of product design efforts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum Requirements
· Thorough knowledge of drawings, schematics, and circuit design
· General knowledge of tools, test equipment, meters, and scopes
· Proficient in CAD (i.e. Altium, OrCAD, EAGLE) and MS Office
· Ability to work independently
· US Citizen
Preferred Capabilities
· Working knowledge of defense product space and military specifications
· Working knowledge of military sealed cables using circular military connectors and EMI braiding
· Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

· Minimum 7 years relevant work experience as an electrical engineer
